This is a stop motion animation exploring the possibilities for grotesqueness and beauty in the materiality of mud and paint.

I was thinking about the fluids of the body, and I wanted to place different colors of paint within various contexts that would heighten their association to the body and its various excretions and colors. However, I chose to use very vivid tones, fluorescent paints, to keep that connection more playful and explorative. The repeating sound design is mirroring the textures I am exploring.
